REGISTRATION PROCESS GUIDLINE

Registering for a wine competition involves a series of steps to ensure that participants follow the rules and guidelines set by the organizing body

PARTICIPATION CATEGORY SELECTION

Before initiating the registration process, participants should determine the specific category in which they wish to compete in the competition.

CATEGORIES

The competition features four primary categories:

- Wines,

- Spirits,

- Home Wines,

- Home Spirits.

These categories vary in terms of regulations, documentation, sample requirements, sample categories, prices, and awards. However, the evaluation process remains consistent across all categories.

1. WINES

 

Wines that meet the definition of the international codeof oenological practices of the Organization Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin (OIV). All products must indicate the country of origin where the grapes have been harvested andvinified.


The competing wine samples must be produced with a minimum of 1,000 liters.n or provenance. 

In the case of a truly limited production and with justification, smaller amounts may be accepted (if greater than 100 liters). Must be commercially packed. Containers must present the indication of origin.

2. SPIRITS

Distilled beverages and spirits, with the exception of aromatized wines. All products must indicate the country of origin where the grapes have been harvested andvinified.The competing wine samples must be produced with a minimum of 1,000 liters. In the case of a truly limited production and with justification, smaller amounts may be accepted (if greater than 100 liters). The wines must be commercially packed. Containers must present the indication of origin or provenance.

3. HOME WINERS
Wineries whose production volume of each of their wines is less from 1000 liters per year.

4. HOME SPIRITS
Distillery whose production volume of each of their productes is less from 1000 liters per year.

IMPORTANT:

Please, thoroughly read the competition's rules and guidelines. Pay attention to eligibility criteria, submission requirements, deadlines, fees, and any specific regulations regarding labeling and packaging.

REGISTRATOIN

To begin the sample registration process, you must submit an application to participate in the competition.

You can submit an application in the following ways:​​​​

- Fill out the sample registration application in the interactive online form (login is required)

or alternatively

 

- Download the appropriate forms, fill them out and send them to the competition email address (terravino.israel@gmail.com, subject "TERRAVINO 2025 Application ")

After checking the submitted application, you (the contact person specified in the application for participation) will be given access to the participant's personal account, where you can track the registration status.

At the same time, you will be sent prepared forms for signature (if not signed),
as well as a receipt for payment with payment details.

DELIVERY

Prepare the required number of bottles for submission. Follow the instructions for packaging and shipping the samples to the designated location. Be mindful of shipping deadlines and any special instructions for handling and delivery.

IMPORTANT:

The deadline for the delivery of all samples is February 02, 2025, irrespective of the category.

  1. WINES - 4 (four) Bottles of 0.75 lt. (or equivalent) per sample

  2. SPIRITS - 3 (Three) Bottles of 0.75 lt. / 0.50 lt. (or equivalent) per sample.

  3. HOME WINES - 2 (two) Bottles of 0.75 lt. (or equivalent) per sample.

  4. HOME SPIRITS - 2 (two) Bottles of 0.75 lt. / 0.50 lt. (or equivalent) per sample.

PAYMENT

TERRAVINO has entry fees. Pay the required fees online through the competition's platform or by bank transfer. Keep a record of your payment confirmation for reference

IMPORTANT:

Registration and costs in all cases should be paid before the February 02, 2025.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

Payments can be processed using a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) through the secure payment system of the TERRAVINO registration platform.

 

Upon completion, participants will receive a payment confirmation along with the billing details associated with their account.

Payment can be made in cash, by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), or bank transfer (along with the registration form).

IMPORTANT:

TERRAVINO is not responsible for bank charges.

NO REFUNDS ALLOWED.

RIGHTS PAYMENTS MUST BE FREE OF CHARGE.

IMPORTANT:

If payment is made by bank transfer, or credit card, the sender shall be responsible in all
cases for all bank charges.

Bank charges in Israel are € 30.00, which must be added to the payment regardless of the number of the samples (€ 30.00 per transfer).

CONTEST

The competition is scheduled to occur from February 23 to 27, 2025, with the main contest taking place from February 09 to 12. The award ceremony, Gala, is set for February 27, 2025.

RESULTS

After the completion of the judging process, participants will receive notifications regarding the results. In the event that a wine sample earns an award, participants will be informed about the accolades and will be presented with a diploma.

TERRAVINO hosts an award ceremony ("Gala" - conducted via online streaming) and tasting sessions ("Taste the Gold" - typically spanning two days of tasting sessions featuring TERRAVINO medalists). If possible, contemplate attending these events to connect with industry professionals and fellow participants.
